Health Services

There is an extremely exciting development currently taking place with Morawa’s health services.

After many years of planning the Morawa Perenjori Multi Purpose Centre is now under construction. This has been one of our Shire’s largest projects for many years and it is finally coming to fruition.

Our $10.3 million Multi Purpose Centre will replace the original Morawa hospital, servicing both the Morawa and Perenjori communities. It is anticipated the Centre will be open for services early in 2008.

Morawa is also fortunate to have a community doctor. Housed across the road from the new medical facility, Dr Afilaka services both the Morawa and Perenjori communities with two half days of consultations in Perenjori per week and three and a half days of consultations in Morawa.
