Child Care
The Shire of Morawa operates a child care centre located on Dreghorn Street. The Centre is open from 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday for the duration of the school year, being closed on school and public holidays.
Access to child care is subject to the availability of places at any given time, which is governed by the Shire’s licenses as issued by the Department of Community Development.

Fees Assistance
To assist with the cost of care, parents will be eligible for the Child Care Benefit (CCB). CCB is limited to 50 hours per child per week for work related care and 20 hours per week for non-work related care. Further to this working families are eligible for the 30% Child Care Tax rebate, which is additional to the CCB.
Families interested in assessing their eligibility for the CCB are invited to contact Centrelink quoting the reference number 555-001-044A. This reference number is linked with the Midwest & Murchison Family Day Care Scheme (NMFDCS) who will assist in providing support to the Shire of Morawa in administering the day care service.
