Senior Finance Officer

The Shire is looking for a suitably qualified and/or experienced person to join our dedicated finance team.


The position reports to the Executive Manager Corporate and Community Services and the successful applicant will be an experienced, energetic and highly motivated finance professional.


The role is to provide accounting services to the Shire of Morawa including monthly general ledger and bank reconciliations, preparation of monthly financial reports, assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and maintenance of the Shire’s asset register.


Applicants with current or previous local government finance experience will be highly regarded.


This position is level 5 (Local Government Officers’ (WA) Interim Award 2011) with a generous remuneration package including a cash component up to $70,000 dependent upon experience.
