Morawa Youth Centre

The Shire of Morawa is pleased to announce its commitment to increasing access to our Youth Centre Facility in 2019. The primary goal is to develop a range of activities and events that provide the youth of Morawa the opportunity to have fun and connect with their peers in a safe, friendly, and supportive environment. As a part of the overall Morawa Youth Centre Program we will be also operating a dedicated School Holiday program that will offer a variety of activities for youth to participate in.

Details about the Morawa School Holiday Program can be found here

The primary goal of our Youth Program strategy is to provide safe spaces for our youth to be themselves, be accepted, and to have fun. The  Program will also allow the wider community to be engaged in youth- based projects as volunteers and as facilitators of events and activities. The goal for Term 1 in 2019, which is Monday February 4th of February through to Friday 12th of April 2019, is to increase access to, and the opening hours of, the Morawa Youth Centre. To help us to achieve this we are  looking for interested volunteers to create a dedicated team of helpers.

Do you have an activity that can be included in the next Youth Centre School Holiday Program?

The Shire would like to invite different groups, clubs, and community-based organisations to collaborate on as many activities as possible during the school holidays. This will ensure that the Youth of Morawa have a wide variety of engaging activities to participate in.

To share your ideas, or for more information about our Youth Programs, then please feel free to contact our Community Development Officer, Renee King, on 9971 1204 or cdo@morawa.wa.gov.au.
