When disposing of rubbish at the Perenjori Refuse Station, please ensure all waste is sorted correctly before disposal. The site has separate disposal areas for different types of waste, including green waste, car bodies, and other materials. Please also make sure you dispose of waste in the appropriately sign-posted areas. Correct sorting and disposal helps avoid issues at the landfill and supports safe, efficient, and responsible waste management for our community. We are currently working to reopen the Morawa Refuse Station as quickly and safely as possible. The community will be advised once the station has reopened. Following the recent fire at our landfill site, we wish to advise the community that the facility will remain closed for repairs and safety assessments. Please note that Jones Lake Road is now open to the public Effective immediately, all waste must be transported to the Shire of Perenjori Waste Facility, located on Carnamah-Perenjori Rd. This temporary arrangement will remain in place until the end of January. We are working hard to restore local services as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time. Please ensure you check the Shire of Perenjori’s operating hours before traveling.

The Shire of Morawa will be conducting a drone survey of the Morawa townsite over the next 3–4 days. The drones will be used solely to complete updated mapping and aerial imagery of the townsite to assist with future infrastructure planning. No personal or private activities are being monitored. Following the completion of essential upgrades to the Morawa Recreation Centre, the Centre is now available for hire.

The current Harvest and Vehicle Movement Ban will be lifted from 3.00pm Tuesday 28 October 2025.

The Morawa Swimming Pool will open this Saturday, 25 October 2025 from 12pm. Pool passes can be purchased from the Shire Administration Office or from the pool kiosk.

Due to a power outage schedueld on Friday 24 October 2025 for Western Power to complete essential maintenance the Shire's facilities will be closed. The Shire administration office will remain open from 8.30am-4.30pm for limited services.

You can now drop off all unused car bodies and scarp metal to the Morawa Refuse and Transfer Station from Friday 17 October 2025 till Monday 10 November 2025

The purpose of this meeting is to swear in the recently re-elected Council members, to elect the Shire President and Deputy Shire President for a new term expiring 20 October 2029 and to elect Council representatives and delegates on the specific committees.
