Mouse baits are now available for residential collection. Each household may collect one bag (containing 3x 100g sachets) of Racumin® Paste baits from the Shire Administration Office during opening hours (8:30am–4:30pm). Please note: • Baits are available to local residents only • One bag per household • Each sachet includes important safety and usage instructions – please read carefully before use • A register will be maintained to ensure fair and consistent distribution • While we currently hold a substantial supply, once stock is exhausted, no further baits will be available We appreciate the community’s continued cooperation and proactive efforts in managing the current mouse issue across the district.

Please be advised that Prater Street will be temporarily closed from Dreghorn Street to Gill Street from 10am-11.45am on Saturday, 25 April 2026 for the ANZAC day Service. Community members are welcome to attend the ANZAC day Service at the War memorial on Prater Street, which will commence at 10.45am, hosted by the Morawa-Gutha RSL Sub Branch.

The Shire of Morawa is pleased to formally acknowledge the investment of $200,000 from the State Government’s Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development Regional Economic Development (RED) Grant program for the Morawa Early Childhood Education and Family Centre.

Morawa Swimming Pool now closed for the season

We would like to thank the community for another outstanding season at the Morawa Swimming Pool, with our final day of operation being this Sunday, 19 April 2026. This season saw a fantastic range of activities and events, including the Morawa District High School Interhouse swimming carnival, swim club, swimming lessons, morning lap swimming and plenty of opportunities to cool off during the hot summer months. We look forward to welcoming back our Pool Manager, Ashton, and the community when we reopen in October for the 2026–2027 season!

Due to a planned power outage by Western Power to undertake essential maintenance, all Shire Facilities including the Community Gym, Rec Centre and Swimming Pool will be closed on Sunday, 15 March 2026 from estimated 7.00am- 5.30pm. These interruptions will affect all caravan park facilities include powered sites, chalets and units, camp kitchen and ablution blocks. We thank the community for their understanding.
