Morawa Youth Centre

The Morawa Youth Centre is a dedicated space for youth, aged between 8 years and 18 years, to relax and have fun in a safe and engaging environment. Two types of programs operate from this facility:  

  • The After School Program operates each week during the school term. 
  • The School Holiday Program operates for set days during each school holiday period.

 

Morawa Youth Centre – Summer School Holiday Program (19–30 January 2026)

The Morawa Youth Centre Summer School Holiday Program runs from 19 January to 30 January 2026 and is free for young people up to 18 years of age. Children under 8 years must be accompanied and supervised by an adult for the duration of each activity.

Tue 20 Jan Youth Centre Greening Join a guided session to improve the Youth Centre space by planting flowers and trees and creating potted planters to make it greener and more welcoming. Water bottle, hat/sunscreen, closed shoes, clothes you can get a bit dirty Morawa Youth Centre 2:00–5:00pm
Wed 21 Jan Fair Game Inclusive, high-engagement active games that are adaptable for different ages, numbers and skill levels — focused on fun, inclusion, teamwork and keeping everyone involved Water bottle, hat/sunscreen, swimmers + towel (if swimming). Morawa Swimming Pool 2:00–5:00pm

Mon 26 Jan Australia Day Fun Day Family event at the pool with water slides & water fun, a BBQ, and live music. Family & friends, Water bottle, hat/sunscreen, swimmers + towel. Morawa Swimming Pool 3:30–6:30pm
Tue 27 Jan Cupcake Baking Workshop Baking + decorating cupcakes. Water bottle, comfy clothes. Morawa Youth Centre 3:00–5:00pm
Wed 28 Jan Playmore – Cardboard Creations Unleash your inner architect/engineer/designer and build something epic from upcycled cardboard! Make rockets, buildings, costumes — anything your imagination can dream up. We’ll have all materials and tools ready, including Makedo tools and a ChompSaw. Comfy clothes, water bottle. Morawa Youth Centre 2:00–5:00pm
Thu 29Jan Indoor Soccer / Futsal Social indoor soccer/futsal games. Water bottle, enclosed shoes, Comfy sports attire Morawa Recreational Centre 3:00–5:00pm
Fri 30 Jan Blue Light Disco A fun, safe and supervised community disco as part of Blue Light WA delivered in partnership with Morawa Police Water bottle, optional: bright/neon outfit. Morawa Town Hall 5:00–7:00pm

Youth Centre Membership Forms

It's important that the Shire can contact parents or guardians if the need arises.  For most programs held within town, parent permission is covered through the memberships forms below that will be updated at the beginning of each calendar year.  Please send a completed membership form with you child when they first come to the youth centre.
