Current forecasts, as of Thursday 26 March 2026 shows that weather conditions will peak over Morawa, Saturday 28 March 2026, with heavy thunderstorms and damaging winds.
Morawa currently in an Advice category (Yellow- An incident is active, be aware and keep up to date), as of 5.00pm 26/3/26.
EVACUATION CENTRE:
In the event of major damage caused to homes, the Morawa Sports Oval Function Room on Evans Street (football oval) will be opened as an evacuation centre.
**Please note conditions will be monitored and the decision to open the centre will depend on the severity of the impact from Cyclone Narelle.**

UNSEALED ROADS:
All unsealed roads within the Shire will be closed from 12pm tomorrow, Friday 27 March 2026 to all heavy vehicles over 4.5 tonne.
ADMINISTRATION OFFICE:
The Shire Administration office will be closed from 12pm, tomorrow Friday 27 March 2026.
All Department of Transport services will be unavailable tomorrow, 27 March 2026.
YOUTH CENTRE:
The Morawa youth centre will be closed tomorrow, 27 March 2026 and re open Tuesday 7 April 2026 for our School Holiday Program.
SWIMMING POOL:
The Morawa Swimming Pool will be closed Saturday 28 March 2026.
MORAWA LANDFILL
The Morawa refuse station will be closed on Saturday 28 March 2026 and reopening Sunday at 8.00am for regular hours.
CARAVAN PARK:
The Morawa Caravan Park is not taking bookings and recommends guests move onto Mt Magnet or travel home – servicing of the caravan park will cease over the weekend
